Advanced "Holiday Pricing" Strategy

Enable me to increase our rates for major holidays much (or at all in some cases). We get larger premiums for major holidays, than Wheelhouse's algorithm recommends. Therefore, I'd like Wheelhouse to price ALL holidays more aggressively, instead of having to scroll through every calendar.

I'd like to be able to identify specific holidays at my discretion. With that we should be able to apply a specific min stay and percent increase.

Request: Enable a way to adjust minimum-stay and price values across specific holiday periods that change on a year-over-year basis, such as Thanksgiving, MLK, President's Day, etc.

Jake Creasey: Jake, the original request was for increased rates... you have commented on minimum stay - not sure if "increased rates" are being under review or not... please comment

Jake Creasey: Putting both minimum-stay, and increased rates (or a set amount) into this feature would be super helpful.

I would love if we added this feature!

This would be an incredible feature to add and a great time saver. My recommendation would be to add all the holidays, have an annual opt-in, set the actual holiday minimum price, and instead of having "day of week minimum prices (Sun-Sat)," add a 1-7 day before and after the holiday with a percentage increase option. That way the actual day/date which fluctuates yearly is not really a factor. As another user suggested, you may provide an option for additional changes if the holiday itself falls on a weekend.

Request: A pre-generated list of holidays so that I could increase holiday pricing from a list as opposed to scrolling through the calendar and trying to locate holidays one by one.

It would be nice to have automated repeatable settings for holiday pricing with customized pricing controls and pricing presets so that my team doesn't have to manually go in to set holiday pricing for each year before the dates become available.
It is quite tedious and since we cannot edit straight on the calendar and especially on the multi-calendar to bulk edit (much more intuitive), it is quite annoying to make these changes and takes way longer than it should.
Perhaps a checklist of holidays that you can click to pick and choose what holidays you want prices to increase for. So that way WheelHouse knows to increase prices for those dates along with customizable controls for how much and for how long you want to increase and having options like presets that can be blunt or gradual if you don’t want to do something customized.
For example for Christmas and Thanksgiving I like to implement a bell curve where dates around the holiday are increased from 5 -10%, days right before and after are around 15-20%, and actual holidays are 20-50% higher. On holidays that land on a Friday or a Monday or holidays like Halloween or Valentine's Day that most people celebrate on the weekend despite the actual day it falls on (but especially when it falls on the weekend), I implement a higher rate for the entire 3-5 day weekend, since many people take more days off to make it a longer weekend.
Adding this feature would be AMAZING as we make much more money on holidays and making this automated would save so much time and stress so that we don’t accidentally forget and have someone booking Christmas for $80.
Also it would be nice to be able to edit the days that are not yet available (greyed out) and see the changes you make on the multi calendar... so that way they are ready when you make those days available. For example, when I'm not sure if I am going to renew my lease... I block those days on Airbnb, so I would want to make holiday price changes that are ready to go when I'm ready to open the calendar back up after I have signed the renewal for the lease. I want to be able to see the edits even on the greyed out days so that way I know they were successful vs having to click into the day to see the edits.

Agree.

While we are now used to adjusting all Holidays manually, the inability to do that (or impact any prices) more then a year in advance continues to challenge our team.

is this feature request being considered for stat holidays? I host in the USA but live in Canada so sometime I miss a holiday in the USA as it's different in Canada.
